Community Power Generation: Is it about to make a major breakthrough in Cornwall and elsewhere?

Simon Clark’s recent YouTube video How Britain broke its electrical grid (and how to fix it) is a ‘must watch’ for those of us trying to understand why, with all the cheap renewable energy Britain is creating, the UK has the highest electricity costs in the developed world.

The answer might surprise you. (Spoiler alert). It turns out that the system charges you not on the basis of the cheapest fuel (wind and solar), but on the price of gas. Simon explains how the system works, and how it can be fixed.

Crucially, for many of those in the Cornish Democracy movement advocating for community energy schemes, a solution is in sight, and could be financially advantageous for Cornwall. Simon’s piece is strongly recommended!
